In the afternoon, the President will arrive in Pyeongtaek, Republic of Korea. The arrival at Osan Air Base will be open to pre-registered media.
In the evening, the President and President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea will visit Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus, a model for the new Samsung plant being built in Taylor, Texas. The stop will demonstrate how our alliances deliver for the American middle class by investing in manufacturing in the United States, creating good paying jobs, and strengthening our supply chains. This tour will be covered by the out-of-town pool.
Then, the President and President Yoon Suk Yeol of the Republic of Korea will deliver remarks at Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Campus. The President will make the case for quickly passing the Bipartisan Innovation Act, which will deliver historic federal investments in U.S. research and development, supply chains, and domestic manufacturing. The President will reiterate that tackling inflation is his top economic priority, and making these investments will help lower costs by making our supply chains more resilient in the long term, protecting us against costly disruptions and higher prices for consumers. These remarks will be open to pre-credentialed media.
After, the President will travel to Seoul, Republic of Korea. The departure from Osan Air Base and the arrival in Seoul, Republic of Korea will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Friday – U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will represent the United States at the G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Bonn, Germany and related official events. Throughout, Secretary Yellen and U.S. allies will work to advance the global economic recovery and continue their united efforts to increase economic pressure on Russia to end its brutal and illegal war against Ukraine. The meetings will also focus on implementation of the landmark global tax agreement to level the playing field, threats to energy security and global food security resulting from Russia’s war, and addressing the climate crisis. Secretary Yellen will also meet bilaterally with several counterparts. These meetings are closed press.

Friday – Ambassador Katherine Tai will hold bilateral meetings on the margins of APEC in Bangkok, Thailand with Brunei Minister of Finance and Economy Amin Liew; Thailand Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit; and Chinese Taipei Minister-Without-Portfolio John Deng. She will also join a meeting of the U.S.-APEC Business Coalition and hold a roundtable with Thai labor leaders. These meetings are closed press.
