DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
TUESDAY, JULY 12, 2022
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
Then, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador of Mexico to discuss their visions for North America and their efforts to address global challenges such as food security, continued cooperation on migration, and joint development efforts. This bilateral meeting in the Oval Office will have a pool spray at the top.
In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will host the first White House Congressional Picnic since 2019 on the South Lawn. Guests will include the Vice President, a bipartisan group of 260 Members of Congress and their families, Cabinet Members, senior White House and agency officials, and Congressional staff. This event will be open press.
In the evening, the President will travel to the Middle East to advance U.S. national interests in the region. He will reinforce the United States’ iron-clad commitment to Israel’s security and prosperity, meet with Palestinian leaders, conduct bilateral discussions with Saudi leaders, and attend a Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council plus Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan (known as the GCC+3). The President will begin his travel in Israel, where he will meet with Israeli leaders to discuss Israel’s security, prosperity, and its increasing integration into the greater region. The President will also visit the West Bank to consult with the Palestinian Authority and to reiterate his strong support for a two-state solution, with equal measures of security, freedom, and opportunity for the Palestinian people. The departure from the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool.
