 DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE
FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2023


In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting in the Oval Office will be closed press.

After, the President will travel to Pueblo, Colorado. The departure from the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool. The arrival at and departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Pueblo Memorial Airport, Pueblo, Colorado will be open press.

In the afternoon, the President will participate in a tour of the CS Wind—the largest wind tower manufacturer in the world—as part of his Administration’s Investing in America tour. This tour at CS Wind Inc., Pueblo, Colorado will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Then, the President will deliver remarks on how Bidenomics and the Inflation Reduction Act are mobilizing companies to invest in clean energy industries and create good-paying jobs in communities across the country, including Colorado’s third congressional district. These remarks at CS Wind Inc., Pueblo, Colorado will be open press.

Later, the President will depart Pueblo, Colorado en route to Washington, DC. The departure from Pueblo Memorial Airport, Pueblo, Colorado and the arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The departure from Joint Base Andrews and the arrival to the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool.

TREASURY DEPT –  

Monday  – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will be in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, to participate in the Eurogroup Finance Ministers Meeting. While in Luxembourg, Secretary Yellen will engage counterparts to further deepen cooperation and advance shared priorities, including bolstering the resilience and diversification of our critical supply chains, coordinating our shared support for Ukraine, and further aligning our respective economic relationships with China around shared principles.

At 10:15 AM CET / 4:15 AM ET, Secretary Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Yuriko Backes. There will be a photo spray open to pre-credentialed media.

At 11:30 AM CET / 5:30 AM ET, Secretary Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with European Commissioner of Economy Paolo Gentiloni. There will be a photo spray and remarks open to pre-credentialed media.

At 12:30 PM CET / 6:30 AM ET, Secretary Yellen will have a working lunch with Eurogroup President Pascal Donohoe, European Commission Executive Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis, and European Commissioner for the Economy Paolo Gentiloni. This lunch is closed press. 

At 2:00 PM CET / 8:00 AM ET, Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks and participate in the Eurogroup Finance Ministers meeting. Secretary Yellen’s remarks are open to pre-credentialed media. The remainder of the meeting is closed press. 

At 3:45 PM CET / 9:45 AM ET, Secretary Yellen will participate in a press availability with Eurogroup President Pascal Donohoe. This media availability is open to pre-credentialed media and will be livestreamed here.

At 4:15 PM CET / 10:15 PM CET, Secretary Yellen will visit the Luxembourg American Cemetery established in 1944 by U.S. Third Army. While there she will lay a wreath in honor of the more than 5,000 U.S. troops buried there. There will be a photo spray for pre-credentialed media.

In the eveningSecretary Yellen will depart Luxembourg, Luxembourg, to return to the United States.

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will meet with advisors and staff.
