In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks and meet with UAW autoworkers, UAW President Shawn Fain, and Governor J.B. Pritzker to highlight his commitment to delivering for working families and creating good-paying union jobs, as well as the UAW’s historic agreement that includes bringing thousands of UAW jobs back to Belvidere and reopening a plant. These remarks at the Community Building Complex of Boone County, Belvidere, Illinois will be open press.
Then, the President will travel from Belvidere, Illinois to Chicago, Illinois. The departure from Chicago Rockford International Airport, Rockford, Illinois will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The President and the First Lady will host veterans and members of the military community at the White House to commemorate Veterans Day.
The President and the First Lady will participate in the Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. The Vice President and the Second Gentleman will attend.
The President will deliver remarks at the National Veterans Day Observance at the Memorial Amphitheater. The First Lady, the Vice President, and the Second Gentleman will attend.
The President and the First Lady will travel to Wilmington, Delaware.

Thursday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will host People’s Republic of China (PRC) Vice Premier He Lifeng for the first day of bilateral meetings in San Francisco, California. These meetings come at a time of more intensive diplomacy between the United States and the PRC designed to further stabilize the bilateral economic relationship and make progress on key economic issues. At the conclusion of the meetings, Secretary Yellen will host a press conference in San Francisco on November 10. Media interested in covering the press conference and meetings should contact press@treasury.gov.
At 9:00 AM PST / 12:00 PM EST, U.S Treasury officials will lead meetings in San Francisco of the U.S.-PRC Economic and Financial Working Groups alongside Chinese counterparts. These meetings are closed press.
At 10:15 AM PST / 1:15 PM EST, Secretary Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with Vice Premier He.
