In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with a bipartisan group of House and Senate members on U.S. supply chains in the Oval Office. This meeting will have a pool spray at the top.
 
After, the President will sign an Executive Order on the economy in the State Dining Room. The Vice President will also attend. This event will be pooled press.

The U.S. Senate

It is reported that the Senate parliamentarian may rule as soon Wednesday on whether a nationwide increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour is allowed under the reconciliation process rules. Should it be ruled out the Senate can override the parliamenatian, unlikely since that would take 60 votes.

Senate will vote at 4pm to advance Jennifer Granholm’s nomination to be President Biden’s Energy Secretary.

All Senators briefing on US Capitol security will take place 3-4pm while the Senate is in recess.

Possible floor vote on Miguel Cardona’s nomination to be President Biden’s Education Secretary.

Xavier Becerra, Biden’s nominee to be HHS secretary testifies before the Finance Committee on Wednesday

CIA Director nominee William Burns will testify Wednesday morning at his Senate Intel Committee confirmation hearing, chaired by Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) with Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) as Vice Chair.

The U.S. House Federal Reserve Chair Jay Powell answers questions of the House Financial Services committee beginning at 10a ET.   The House is finishing work on the $1.9-trillion Covid relief package in order to pass it Friday. The full House will vote Friday on $1.9T COVID-19 relief bill per Majority Whip Steny Hoyer.
