On Saturday, at 11:30AM EST, the Vice President will deliver remarks at the 40th Annual Black History Month Virtual Celebration hosted by Congressman Steny H. Hoyer. There will be pooled press coverage of these remarks in South Court Auditorium.

On Sunday, the Vice President will be in Washington, DC. The Vice President has no public events scheduled.

Out until Monday when convenes at 3:00 p.m.: Convene and proceed to executive session to resume at 5:30p ET for consideration of the nomination of Miguel A. Cardona, of Connecticut, to be Secretary of Education.

The U.S. House Saturday The U.S. House works into early Saturday to pass its version of the American Rescue Plan. In the coming week, upon passage by the Senate, the measure returns to the House for another vote on the final legislative product. In the coming week the House will continue its review of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, with Acting US Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman will testify again before the House Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee, this time on the Capitol Police FY2022 budget on Wednesday morning.
