In the afternoon, the President will hold a bipartisan meeting on cancer in the Oval Office. The Vice President will also attend. This meeting will have a pool spray at the top.
 
Then, the President will participate in a virtual event with the House Democratic Caucus in the South Court Auditorium. This event will be pooled press.

At 9:50AM EST, the Vice President will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

At 11:50AM EST, the Vice President will visit a woman-owned small business in Alexandria, Virginia to hear how they have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss the importance of passing the American Rescue Plan. There will be pooled press coverage of this visit.
 
At 1:15PM EST, the Vice President will join the President for a bipartisan meeting on cancer in the Oval Office. This meeting will have a pool spray at the top.
 
At 6:00PM EST, the Vice President will ceremonially swear in Gina Raimondo as Secretary of Commerce in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. This event will be pooled press.

12:00 p.m.: Convene and begin a period of morning business. Later, debate on the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief measure, the American Rescue Plan, begins.

The U.S. House Wednesday
House still working on election rules H.R. 1 which last time it was passed, in 2019, was not passed in the Senate. Also up for a vote ill be the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, first passed last year but not taken up by the Senate.. House Democrats in second day of on-line issues conference with panels on various top-priority issues. The event will be addressed late in the day by President Biden and VP Kamala Harris.
