Wednesday, April 28
Secretary Janet L. Yellen will meet virtually with executives from the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), the trade association for U.S.-based leading retail companies. Secretary Yellen will discuss President Biden’s American Jobs Plan, as well as hear first-hand how the pandemic has affected the retail sector and how the industry has responded. This event is closed press.
Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo will meet virtually with advisors and staff.
State Department Daily Briefing
Monday – News briefings on irregular schedule, usually at approximately 2p ET although often delayed on short notice. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of last week and Monday there were no briefings. Tuesday’s briefing was at 2:21p ET, Wednesday’s at 2:06p, Thursday at 2:43p and Friday, by telephone, at 2p.. Monday was 3:12p with a separate briefing on Secty of State Blinken’s virtual visit with Africa officials on Tuesday. There was no briefing Tuesday, Apr 27.
