The White House

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
FRIDAY, JUNE 4, 2021
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

Then, the President will deliver remarks on the May jobs report at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. These remarks will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Later, the President and the First Lady will return to the White House from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The departure from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The departure from Dover Air Force Base and the arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the supplemental pool. The arrival on the Ellipse will be covered by the in-town pool.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen

Friday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will represent the United States at the G7 finance ministers meeting in London, England. Secretary Yellen will reinforce the U.S. commitment to policy priorities to promote the global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, including maintaining supportive fiscal policies, vaccine access and distribution, and support for low-income countries. The Secretary will also discuss with her G7 partners the importance of improving public health to prevent future pandemics, building greener and more resilient economies to meet the challenges of climate change, and international tax. There will be a pool spray at the top of some G7 events

Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo will meet virtually with advisors and staff.

                                    State Department Daily Briefing

Friday – News briefings on irregular schedule, usually at approximately 2p ET although often delayed on short notice. There was a briefing by telephone Wednesday at 2p and an on-camera briefing Thursday at 2p.

Secty of State Blinken Thursday met with Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
