FRIDAY, JULY 16, 2021
In the morning, the President will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Virtual Retreat, where Leaders will discuss ending the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting the global economic recovery, hosted by The Right Honorable Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand. The President’s participation will demonstrate U.S. leadership in the Indo-Pacific region and the President’s commitment to multilateral institutions. This meeting in the South Court Auditorium will be closed press.
Then, the President and the Vice President will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will have lunch with the Vice President in the Private Dining Room. This lunch will be closed press.
After, the President will receive a briefing from members of the White House COVID-19 Response Team on the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccination program in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
Then, the President will travel to Camp David, where he will remain over the weekend. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press.
Later, the President will receive the Weekly Economic Briefing at Camp David. This meeting will be closed press.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen
Friday – A recorded interview with Secretary Yellen will run on NPR’s Morning Edition.
At 10a she will convene a closed video meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council. The preliminary agenda includes Federal Reserve stress tests, housing markets, and the proposed Council report to be issued under the Executive Order on Climate-Related Financial Risk. A readout is expected in the late afternoon.
