The White House

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, JULY 19, 2021

 
In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
 
After, the President will deliver remarks on the economic recovery and the remarkable progress made under his Administration—from 60,000 to 600,000 new jobs per month thanks to the American Rescue Plan—and why we need the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework and his Build Back Better agenda to sustain that growth in the years to come. These remarks in the State Dining Room will be covered by the in-house pool and pre-credentialed media. [RSVP here by 7 AM.]
 
In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will welcome Their Majesties King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, to the White House. Their Majesties’ visit will highlight the enduring and strategic partnership between the United States and Jordan, a key security partner and ally of the United States. The arrival at the South Portico will be closed press.
 
Then, the President and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, will participate in a bilateral meeting. They will work to strengthen bilateral cooperation on multiple political, security, and economic issues, including the promotion of economic opportunities that will be vital for a bright future in Jordan. This meeting in the Oval Office will have a pool spray at the top.
 
After, the President and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, will participate in an expanded bilateral meeting. This meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the many challenges facing the Middle East and showcase Jordan’s leadership role in promoting peace and stability in the region. This meeting in the Oval Office will be closed press.
