In the morning, the President will host veterans and members of the military community before the group heads to Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate Veterans Day. Guests will have a chance to converse about their experiences before and after military service on the historic grounds of the White House and be greeted by the President, before heading to Arlington to take part in one of the most sacred rituals of the Armed Services. This event on the State Floor will be closed press.
Then, the President and the First Lady will honor America’s military members and veterans at Arlington National Cemetery. They will participate in the Presidential Armed Forces Full Honor Wreath-Laying Ceremony on the centennial anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the President will deliver remarks at the National Veterans Day Observance at the Memorial Amphitheater. This event will be covered by the in-town travel pool.
