After, the President will participate in a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Micheál Martin, Taoiseach of Ireland. The leaders will reaffirm the close and historic partnership between the United States and Ireland and the extraordinary bonds between our people. This meeting in the Oval Office will have a pool spray at the top.
Then, the President and H.E. Micheál Martin, Taoiseach of Ireland will deliver remarks at the Annual Friends of Ireland Luncheon hosted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the United States Capitol. The President’s remarks will be covered by the in-town travel pool
In the evening, the President and the First Lady will host H.E. Micheál Martin, Taoiseach of Ireland, and Mrs. Mary Martin for a Shamrock presentation at the White House, continuing a longstanding St. Patrick’s Day tradition. This event in the East Room will be open to pre-credentialed media.

WASHINGTON – In morning, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will meet virtually with the Consumer Brands Association to discuss the economic recovery, the Administration’s efforts to ease supply chain constraints and the impact of Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on the global economy. The meeting is closed press.
Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will meet with advisors and staff.
Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson will travel to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He will meet with senior financial and economic leadership to discuss anti-corruption efforts, highlight the importance of systemic AML/CFT reforms, and encourage ongoing economic reform efforts.
