In the morning, the President will speak with His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). This is part of ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication between the United States and the PRC. The two Leaders will discuss managing the competition between the two countries as well as Russia’s war against Ukraine and other issues of mutual concern. This call in the Situation Room will be closed press.
After, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
Later, the President will meet with researchers and patients to discuss ARPA-H, a new cutting-edge health research agency that will accelerate progress on curing cancer and other diseases, medical innovation, and addressing disparities in health outcomes. This meeting in the South Court Auditorium will have a spray at the top by the in-house pool and pre-credentialed media.
In the evening, the President will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press and pooled for TV. The arrival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

WASHINGTON – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will meet with advisors and staff.
Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson will continue his trip to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo and meet with anti-corruption authorities, civil society organizations, and financial institutions. He will discuss anti-corruption efforts and highlight Treasury’s designation of Alain Goetz and the illicit mining trade
