White House and Other Schedules for Saturday and Sunday

WASHINGTON (MaceNews)—The following are Saturday and Sunday schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as US data and Federal Reserve events: 

WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
SATURDAY, MAY 14, 2022 AND SUNDAY, MAY 15, 2022  

On Saturday, the President has no public events scheduled.
 
On Sunday, the President and the First Lady will return to the White House from Wilmington, Delaware. The departure from Delaware Air National Guard Base will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press and pooled for TV.
 
After, the President and the First Lady will honor the law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty in 2021 at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on the West Front of the United States Capitol. The President will deliver remarks. This event is open to pre-credentialed media and the in-town travel pool will accompany.

Saturday   U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will travel to Warsaw, Poland where she will meet with leaders to discuss the war’s impact on Poland’s economy. In these meetings, as well as in other events, the Secretary will express her gratitude for the generosity Poland has shown in welcoming refugees, address the rising threat of food insecurity, and discuss the agreement on new international tax rules, including a global minimum tax that will raise crucial revenues that will benefit the citizens of both countries..
