The departure from Wilmington, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press. Then, the President and the First Lady will host a breakfast in honor of Memorial Day in the East Room. This breakfast will be closed press. At noon, the President, the First Lady, the Vice President, the Second Gentleman, the Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will participate in a Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. This ceremony will be pooled press. After, the President will deliver the Memorial Day Address at the 154th National Memorial Day Observance at Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery. The Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will also deliver remarks. The First Lady, the Vice President, and the Second Gentleman will attend. These remarks will be pooled press. Later, the President and the First Lady will be joined by surviving families of service members who have passed away in a tree planting ceremony on the South Lawn of the White House. The President will meet with Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Jerome Powell to discuss the state of the American and global economy.
