US  SENATE

The weekend’s main Washington event. Senate Saturday takes procedural vote to advance the consideration of the Inflation Reduction Act then embarks on the so-called Vote-a-rama, in which majority Democrats try to dispose of a great number of Republican killer amendments. Final vote possible as soon as late Sunday. But first, Senate convenes 12:00 p.m. Saturday and proceeds to executive session to resume consideration of the motion to discharge the nomination of David M. Uhlmann, of Michigan, to be an Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
