White House and Other Schedules for Wednesday, Oct 5

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Wednesday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. data and Federal Reserve events:   

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2022

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will travel to Fort Myers, Florida. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival in Fort Myers, Florida will be open press.

Upon arrival, the President and the First Lady will survey storm-ravaged areas via helicopter en route to Fishermans Wharf. The lift from Southwest Florida International Airport will be open press.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will receive an operational briefing by federal, local, and state officials on current response and recovery efforts. This briefing will have an out-of-town pool spray at the top.

Later, the President and the First Lady will meet with small business owners and local residents impacted by Hurricane Ian and thank the federal, state, and local officials working around the clock to provide life-saving assistance, restore power, distribute food and water, remove debris, and begin rebuilding efforts. This movement will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President will deliver remarks to reaffirm his commitment to supporting the people of Florida as they recover and rebuild from the devastating storm. The First Lady will attend these remarks. These remarks will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will depart Fort Myers, Florida en route the White House. The departure from Fort Myers, Florida will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival to the South Lawn will be open press.

Wednesday – 130PM – Secretary Yellen will ceremonially swear in Ventris Gibson as the Director of the United States Mint. Ms. Gibson was announced as the Acting Director in October of 2021 and is the first African American Director of the Mint.
