Thursday, November 10, 2022
 
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 
In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will deliver remarks at a political event at the Howard Theatre. The First Lady and the Second Gentleman will attend. These remarks at the Howard Theater in Washington, DC will be covered by the in-town travel pool.

In the evening, the President will depart Washington, DC for Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The President will attend the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Egypt. At COP27, he will build on the significant work the United States has undertaken to advance the global climate fight and help the most vulnerable build resilience to climate impacts, and he will highlight the need for the world to act in this decisive decade. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The departure from Joint Base Andrews and the arrival at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

The President will hold a bilateral meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt to discuss a range of issues, including the disproportionate impact of the climate crisis for the region, the global impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine, de-escalating regional tensions, the U.S.-Egypt security and economic partnership, and human rights.
 
The President will deliver remarks at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. He will discuss our efforts to build on the unprecedented work by the United States to reduce emissions, advance the global climate fight and help the most vulnerable build resilience to climate impacts.
 
The President will then travel to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to participate in the annual U.S.-ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit. In Cambodia, he will reaffirm the United States’ enduring commitment to Southeast Asia and ASEAN centrality, building on the success of the historic U.S.-ASEAN Special Summit in Washington, DC. He will underscore the importance of U.S.-ASEAN cooperation in ensuring security and prosperity in the region, and the wellbeing of our combined one billion people.

The President will hold a bilateral meeting with 2022 ASEAN Chair Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia to discuss the importance of ASEAN centrality and the ASEAN-led, rules-based regional order.
 
The President will participate in the annual U.S.-ASEAN Summit. He will participate in a Family Photo with ASEAN leaders and deliver remarks.
 
The President will attend the East Asia Summit Gala Dinner, hosted by Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia and the First Lady Bun Rany.
 
Sunday, November 13, 2022
 
The President will participate in the East Asia Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
 
The President will hold bilateral meetings and a trilateral meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan and President Yoon Suk-yeol of the Republic of Korea to continue enhancing trilateral cooperation throughout the Indo-Pacific, particularly in regard to our joint efforts to address the ongoing threat posed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s unlawful weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs. 
 
The President will travel to Bali, Indonesia for the G20 Leaders’ Summit. In Bali, the President will commend President Widodo’s leadership of the G20 and highlight the U.S. commitment to this premier forum for economic cooperation with countries representing more than 80% of the world’s GDP. He will work with G20 partners to address key challenges such as climate change, the global impact of Putin’s war on Ukraine, including on energy and food security and affordability, and a range of other priorities important to the global economic recovery and building a sustainable and inclusive global economy.

The President will hold a bilateral meeting with President Joko Widodo of Indonesia to discuss the upcoming G20 Summit and opportunities to deepen the U.S.-Indonesia Strategic Partnership.

The President will be welcomed by President Joko Widodo at the Apurva Kempinski hotel for the G20 Summit.
 
The President will participate in Working Session 1 of the G20 Summit.
 
The President will participate in Working Session 2 of the G20 Summit.
 
The President, President Widodo of Indonesia, and President Von der Leyen of the European Commission will co-host an event on the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment which aims to mobilize $600 billion in the next five years with G7 partners to deliver sustainable infrastructure and advance U.S national security and economic security interests.
