White House and Other Schedules for Thursday, Jan 19

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2023    
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

After, the President will travel to Santa Clara County, California. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Moffett Federal Airfield, Santa Clara County, California will be open press.

Upon arrival, the President will survey storm-ravaged areas via helicopter en route Capitola, California. The lift from Moffett Federal Airfield, Santa Clara County, California will be open press. The arrival at Watsonville Municipal Airport, Santa Cruz County, California will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the afternoon, the President will meet with business owners and local residents impacted by the devastation from recent storms. This movement will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Later, the President will visit with first responders and state and local officials to survey recovery efforts and assess what additional Federal support is needed. This movement will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Then, the President will deliver remarks to reaffirm his commitment to supporting the people of California as they recover and rebuild from the impact of recent extreme weather across the state. These remarks will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President will return to the White House. The departure from Watsonville Municipal Airport, Santa Cruz County, California and Moffett Federal Airfield, Santa Clara County, California will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

Thursday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L Yellen will meet with advisors and staff ahead of her meetings and public engagements in Senegal. She reportedly informed the White House she’s staying in office at least for the final two years of the Biden administration. On Friday she meets with Macky Sall, the President of Senegal; Amadou Ba, Minister of Finance and Budget; and Oulimata Sarr, Minister of Economy and International Planning. .
