White House and Other Schedules for Monday, March 20

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Monday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR MONDAY, MARCH 20, 2023 

 
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. The Vice President will attend. This meeting in the Oval Office will be closed press.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will host a reception celebrating Nowruz. The Vice President and the Second Gentleman will attend. This event in the East Room will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed media.
 
After, the President and the First Lady will welcome Jason Sudeikis and the cast of Ted Lasso to the White House to discuss the importance of addressing your mental health to promote overall well-being. The President has made addressing the mental health crisis a core pillar of his Unity Agenda. His strategy is focused on training more providers, making care more affordable and accessible, and creating healthier and safer communities, including online. The Biden-Harris Administration has provided unprecedented resources to help address mental health needs across our nation, including expanding resources for young people that have been exposed to violence and providing nearly $500 million to help states transition to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Confidential counseling is available for anyone experiencing a mental health or suicide crisis by calling or texting 988 to reach the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. This meeting will be closed press.

The President will deliver remarks at the White House Conservation in Action Summit in Washington, DC. The summit, taking place at the Department of the Interior, will highlight the Biden-Harris Administration’s actions and historic investments to advance conservation, restoration, and stewardship efforts and access to nature in communities nationwide.

The President and the First Lady will host an Arts and Humanities Award Ceremony in the East Room. The Vice President and the Second Gentleman will attend.
 
Wednesday, March 22, 2023

The President and the First Lady will host a Women’s History Month reception at the White House. The Vice President will also deliver remarks. The Second Gentleman will attend.

Thursday, March 23, 2023

The President will host an anniversary event for the Affordable Care Act in the East Room.

The President and the First Lady will travel to Ottawa, Canada. The President will reaffirm the United States’ commitment to the U.S.-Canada partnership and promote our shared security, shared prosperity, and shared values.

The President and the First Lady will participate in a greet with Her Excellency The Right Honorable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and His Excellency Whit Fraser.

Friday, March 24, 2023

The President will participate in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada.

The President will address the Canadian Parliament. The First Lady will attend.

The President and the First Lady will travel from Ottawa, Canada to Wilmington, Delaware where they will remain for the weekend.

Monday –   Departmental press briefings, when held on weekdays, occur around 2p ET.
