The President will participate in the Summit for Democracy Virtual Leaders Plenary.
The President will host President Alberto Fernández of Argentina for a bilateral meeting at the White House. The leaders will celebrate 200 years of bilateral relations between the United States and Argentina and reiterate the strength of the U.S.-Argentina partnership. They will discuss how the United States and Argentina can continue to partner to address global challenges and continue to make progress on areas of mutual national interest, including critical minerals, climate change, space, and technology. They will also discuss economic cooperation, as well as their shared values of inclusion, democracy, and the protection of human rights.
The President will host a reception in the East Room celebrating Greek Independence Day.

The President will meet with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology to discuss their ongoing work to advance American science, technology, and innovation.
The President will travel to Wilmington, Delaware where he will remain for the weekend.

US TREASURY
Tuesday – 1030AM – As part of the 2023 Summit for Democracy, Secretary Yellen will deliver opening remarks at an anti-corruption event hosted at Treasury. After her remarks, Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes Elizabeth Rosenberg will host a panel discussion on anti-corruption efforts with experts in the field. The event is open to credentialed press; please RSVP to press@treasury.gov.
10AM – Under Secretary for Domestic Finance Nellie Liang will testify before the Senate Banking Committee at the “Recent Bank Failures and the Federal Regulatory Response” hearing. The event will be livestreamed here. We plan to provide opening testimony embargoed prior to hearing.
