They will discuss our unwavering support for Ukraine and our efforts to impose costs on the Kremlin as Russia continues its brutal war of aggression. The leaders will coordinate on a range of issues as Spain prepares to assume the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union in July, including climate change and expanded cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean. Saturday, May 13, 2023 The President will travel to Howard University in Washington, DC to deliver the commencement address. The President will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. ### US TREASURY Thursday – Secretary Yellen will hold a press conference in advance of the G7 meetings. During her press conference, Secretary Yellen will highlight her three core priorities for the G7including strengthening the global macroeconomy, redoubling our commitment to Ukraine as it defends itself against Russia’s barbaric war and third, our work to bolster economic resilience and security. The press conference will be open to pre-credentialed press and will be livestreamed here. 220PM CEST/820AM ET: Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes Elizabeth Rosenberg will participate in the “Implications of Sanctions against Russia” panel at the Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS) U.S. – Europe Symposium in Frankfurt, Germany.
