White House and Other Schedules for Tuesday, June 13

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Tuesday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR TUESDAY, JUNE 13, 2023

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will welcome Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), to the White House to discuss the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania. This meeting in the Oval Office will have an in-house pool spray at the top.
 
In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at the Chiefs of Mission Reception. These remarks in the East Room will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed media.

Later, the President will host a Juneteenth concert on the South Lawn. The Vice President will participate. The Second Gentleman will attend. This event on the South Lawn will be open press

TREASURY DEPT

Tuesday – Secretary Yellen will testify before the U.S. House Financial Services Committee hearing entitled “the State of the International Financial System.” The hearing will be livestreamed here at 10a ET.

Tuesday –  Secty Blinken is reported to be preparing to visit Beijing as soon as this week. the highest ranking US official to visit since 2018. Departmental news briefings are  held on weekdays around 1:30p ET. Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Kelly Milton will be in Geneva, Switzerland for the fourth WTO Environment Week. She will moderate a panel examining the role of trade in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and a more circular economy through the lens of remanufacturing. The event will be open to the public via the WTO’s YouTube channel.

Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Daniel Watson will be in Bridgetown, Barbados to meet with stakeholders and officials from Barbados’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade to discuss opportunities to strengthen the U.S.-Barbados commercial relationship.  While in Bridgetown, he will also meet with CARICOM officials.  These meetings are closed press.
