In the afternoon, the President will pardon the National Thanksgiving Turkey in a ceremony in the Rose Garden. The President will celebrate the 74th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation, reflect upon the time-honored traditions of Thanksgiving, and wish American families a safe and healthy holiday. The 2021 National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate were raised near Jasper, Indiana. This event will be open press and pooled for TV. 

In the evening, the President will travel to Wilmington, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press and pooled for TV. The arrival in Wilmington, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

SEOUL – On Friday, November 19, 2021, Ambassador Katherine Tai will meet with South Korea’s Minister of Employment and Minister of Labor An Kyung-duk. This meeting is closed press

Ambassador Tai and Ambassador Bianchi will meet Korea’s Minister for Trade Yeo Han-koo, after which Ambassador Tai and Minister Yeo will co-chair the Joint Committee meeting of the United States-Korea Free Trade Agreement. There will be a photo spray at the top of the meeting.

In Washington, Ambassador Jayme White will meet with Switzerland’s State Secretary Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch. This meeting is closed press.
