WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Friday schedules for the White House, Treasury Department, the State Department, the Capitol and for upcoming economic data and Federal Reserve events:

The White House

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
FRIDAY, JUNE 25, 2021

 
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
 
In the afternoon, the President will sign H.R. 49, To designate the National Pulse Memorial, into law in the South Court Auditorium. The First Lady will also attend. This event will be pooled press.
 
Then, the President and the Secretary of Transportation will deliver remarks to commemorate LGBTQ+ Pride Month in the East Room. The First Lady will also attend. These remarks will be covered by the pool and pre-credentialed media.

After, the President will welcome His Excellency Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to the White House to highlight the enduring partnership between the United States and Afghanistan as the military drawdown continues. This meeting in the Oval Office will have a pool spray at the top.
 
In the evening, the President will travel to Camp David, where he will remain over the weekend. The departure from the South Lawn will be covered by the expanded pool.

Friday – No public event scheduled.

State Department

Friday – State Department news briefngs, when held, are usually about 2 p.m. There was no briefing Wednesday and a briefing by telephone Thursday.

In Paris on Friday, Secretary Blinken will meet with President Emmanuel Macron and Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to deepen the strong U.S.-France relationship, highlight our shared values, and discuss areas of cooperation, including global security and recovering from the pandemic. The Secretary will also meet with OECD Secretary General Mathias Cormann to discuss key economic priorities, international taxation, and U.S. chairmanship of the 60th anniversary Ministerial Council Meeting in October.

The Senate
