Secretary Yellen will attend her first international engagement as Treasury Secretary, joining Chair of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell in representing the United States at a virtual meeting of G7 finance ministers and central bank governors hosted by the UK G7 Presidency.
She will also join President Biden and Vice President Harris for an economic briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
The U.S. Senate
The Senate acting as jurors of the impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump convenes 12 noon ET with the defense attorneys beginning their 16 hours, having said they will use considerably less, perhaps as little as three hours.
