Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen
Friday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will represent the United States at the G7 finance ministers meeting in London, England. Secretary Yellen will reinforce the U.S. commitment to policy priorities to promote the global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, including maintaining supportive fiscal policies, vaccine access and distribution, and support for low-income countries. The Secretary will also discuss with her G7 partners the importance of improving public health to prevent future pandemics, building greener and more resilient economies to meet the challenges of climate change, and international tax. There will be a pool spray at the top of some G7 events
Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo will meet virtually with advisors and staff.
State Department Daily Briefing
Friday – News briefings on irregular schedule, usually at approximately 2p ET although often delayed on short notice. There was a briefing by telephone Wednesday at 2p and an on-camera briefing Thursday at 2p.
