In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will welcome H.E. Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the White House. They will discuss their shared commitment to ongoing diplomacy and joint efforts to deter further Russian aggression against Ukraine. They will also discuss the importance of continued close cooperation on a range of common challenges, including ending the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing the threat of climate change, and promoting economic prosperity and international security based on our shared democratic values. This meeting in the Oval Office will have a pool spray at the top.
Later, the President will participate in a joint press conference with H.E. Scholz in the East Room. This press conference will be covered by the in-house pool and pre-credentialed media.
