They will commemorate the second anniversary of the horrific 2019 attack in El Paso that constituted a mass shooting, hate crime, and act of domestic terrorism. The President will deliver remarks on his Administration’s progress toward fighting this pandemic by increasing vaccinations at home and around the world. Wednesday, August 4, 2021 The President will meet with Dr. Eric Lander, the President’s Science Advisor and Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, to discuss his plan for preparing for future pandemics. Thursday, August 5, 2021 The President will meet with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) community leaders to discuss his economic agenda, immigration reform, his Administration’s response to the rise in acts of anti-Asian bias and violence, and the need to protect the sacred, Constitutional right to vote. Friday, August 6, 2021 The President will receive the Weekly Economic Briefing. The President will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend. |
Treasury Department
Monday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen has no public event scheduled. At 3p ET, Treasury will release the Marketable Borrowing Estimates and Economic Policy Statement as part of the quarterly refunding process.
State Department
