WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Monday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, the State Department, the Capitol and for upcoming Federal Reserve events:

The White House  

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
MONDAY, AUGUST 2, 2021

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief at Camp David. This meeting will be closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will return to the White House from Camp David. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

Then, the President and the Vice President will receive a briefing from members of the White House COVID-19 Response Team on the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccination program in the Oval Office. This meeting will be closed press.

Later, the President will deliver remarks at a virtual fundraising reception for the Democratic National Committee from the Executive Residence. This event will be pooled press via dial-in.

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

The President will meet with Latino community leaders to discuss his economic agenda, immigration reform, and the need to protect the sacred, Constitutional right to vote. They will commemorate the second anniversary of the horrific 2019 attack in El Paso that constituted a mass shooting, hate crime, and act of domestic terrorism.

The President will deliver remarks on his Administration’s progress toward fighting this pandemic by increasing vaccinations at home and around the world.

Wednesday, August 4, 2021

The President will meet with Dr. Eric Lander, the President’s Science Advisor and Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, to discuss his plan for preparing for future pandemics.

Thursday, August 5, 2021

The President will meet with Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) community leaders to discuss his economic agenda, immigration reform, his Administration’s response to the rise in acts of anti-Asian bias and violence, and the need to protect the sacred, Constitutional right to vote.

Friday, August 6, 2021

The President will receive the Weekly Economic Briefing.

The President will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend.

                                           Treasury Department  

Monday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen has no public event scheduled. At 3p ET, Treasury will release the Marketable Borrowing Estimates and Economic Policy Statement as part of the quarterly refunding process.

State Department

Monday –  When held, news briefings are about 2 p.m. ET. There was no briefing Monday. Tuesday’s was by telephone. There was no briefing Wednesday or Thursday. Friday’s was by telephone.

The Senate

Senate in session late Sunday night debating the bipartisan infrastructure bill agreed to earlier in the day.
