In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
Then, the President will meet with his national security team to hear intelligence, security, and diplomatic updates on the evolving situation in Afghanistan. This meeting in the Situation Room will be closed press.
After, the President will participate in a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister of the State of Israel, in the Oval Office. This visit will strengthen the enduring partnership between the United States and Israel, reflect the deep ties between our governments and our people, and underscore the United States’ unwavering commitment to Israel’s security. This meeting will have a pool spray at the top.
Later, the President will participate in an expanded bilateral meeting with His Excellency Naftali Bennett, Prime Minister of the State of Israel, in the Oval Office. They will discuss critical issues related to regional and global security, including Iran; efforts to advance peace, security, and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians; and the importance of working towards a more peaceful and secure future for the region. This meeting will be closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will meet virtually with a bipartisan group of Governors from across the country who have raised their hands to temporarily house or help resettle vulnerable Afghans and welcome them to their new communities. These SIV applicants and other vulnerable Afghans are being screened and vetted by intelligence, law enforcement, and counterterrorism professionals, and undertake extensive COVID-19 and other public health precautions in close coordination with public health officials. This meeting in the South Court Auditorium will have a pool spray at the top.
