In the morning, the President will deliver remarks on the U.S. plan to preserve global forests at the “Action on Forests and Land-Use” event. These remarks at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, United Kingdom will be covered by the restricted out-of-town pool.

After, the President will participate in a meeting on the Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative. This event at the Scottish Event Campus will have an out-of-town pool spray.

In the afternoon, the President will deliver brief remarks at an event highlighting the progress of the Global Methane Pledge. This event at the Scottish Event Campus will have an out-of-town pool spray.

Later, the President will deliver remarks at the “Accelerating Clean Technology Innovation and Deployment” event. This event at the Scottish Event Campus will be covered by the restricted out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President will hold a press conference at the Scottish Event Campus. This event will be open press via livestream.

Then, the President will return to the White House from Edinburgh, United Kingdom. The departure from Edinburgh Airport will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press and pooled for TV.

WASHINGTON – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will join counterparts and leaders at COP26 in Glasgow to galvanize efforts by the world’s major economies to reach the Paris Agreement target. As a part of COP26, Secretary Yellen will participate in a roundtable hosted by the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) and Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance. 

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will meet with the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee (TBAC) as part of the quarterly refunding process. This meeting is closed press.
