In the afternoon, the President will deliver remarks on the way forward in Afghanistan, including his plans and timeline for withdrawing U.S. troops in the Treaty Room. This event will have limited pool coverage.
Then, the President will visit Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery to pay his respects to the brave service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in America’s most recent conflicts. This event will be pooled press.

Suga Yoshihide, Prime Minister of Japan, at The White House for an Official Working Visit and the President’s first in-person bilateral meeting with a foreign leader, reflecting the importance of our bilateral relationship with Japan and our friendship and partnership with the Japanese people.
The President will participate in a press conference with H.E. Suga Yoshihide, Prime Minister of Japan.
The President will travel to Wilmington, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend.
