Friday –  Secty Blinken ends his three-nation tour of Africa which began  in Johannesburg after attending the  Phnom Penh  ASEAN summit.  He traveled from Kinshasha in the Democratic Republic of Congo to Kigali, Rwanda and now is returning to the U.S. 

US HOUSE

Friday’s Washington focus is on the House, interrupting its August recess to debate and, it’s expected, to pass the Inflation Reduction health care, climate and tax reconciliation package, convening at 9a ET.

US  SENATE

In August recess after Sunday’s passage of the health care, climate and tax reconciliation package at the end of a 27-hour session with only periodic brief pro forma sessions.
