DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE
FOR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2022
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
In the afternoon, the President will participate in a town hall at the Major Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III National Guard/Reserve Center in New Castle, Delaware. The President will speak with veterans and veteran survivors to discuss the historic expansion of benefits and services resulting from the PACT Act. The Delaware event is just one of more than 90 events occurring across the nation to encourage veterans to sign up for health care, get screened for toxic exposure, and submit a claim if they are experiencing a toxic exposure related condition. This event will be covered by the out-of-town pool.
After, the President will depart Wilmington, Delaware en route the White House. The departure from Delaware Air National Guard Base, New Castle, Delaware and arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.
In the evening, the President and the First Lady will travel to Wilmington, Delaware. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The arrival at Delaware Air National Guard Base, New Castle, Delaware will be covered by the supplemental pool.

US TREASURY Friday – In the morning, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will chair a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council at which the FSOC annual report to be presented. The meeting’s open session begins at approximately 10:45 AM and livestreaming is available here.. Otherwise she has no public engagements. Late Thursday she issued a statement welcoming the European Union’s directive to move forward to implement a global minimum, tax on corporations. STATE DEPT Friday – Departmental news briefings, when held on weekdays, occur around 2p ET.
