White House and Other Schedules for Friday, Feb 16

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Friday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE
FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2024

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to East Palestine, Ohio. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Pittsburgh International Airport, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will be open press.

Then, the President will receive an operational briefing from officials on the continuing response and recovery efforts. This briefing in East Palestine, Ohio will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President will deliver remarks on how the Administration is holding Norfolk Southern accountable for the derailment and is working with state and local officials to support the community as it moves forward.  The President will discuss his commitment to ensuring the people of East Palestine are not defined by this single event, and that his Administration is delivering on the needs of affected families, businesses, and residents. These remarks in East Palestine, Ohio will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President will depart East Palestine, Ohio en route to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The departure from Pittsburgh International Airport, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania will covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be covered by the supplemental pool.
