White House and Other Schedules for Friday, March 31

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Friday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 31, 2023 

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will travel to Rolling Fork, Mississippi. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The departure from Joint Base Andrews and arrival to Jackson Air National Guard Base, Jackson, Mississippi will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Upon arrival, the President and the First Lady will depart Jackson, Mississippi en route to Rolling Fork, Mississippi. The departure from Jackson Air National Guard Base, Jackson, Mississippi, and arrival to Yazoo County Airport Landing Zone, Yazoo City, Mississippi will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Then, the President and the First Lady will receive an operational briefing by federal, local, and state officials on current response and recovery efforts. This briefing will have an out-of-town pool spray at the top.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will participate in a walking tour of the disaster zone and meet with local residents impacted by the storm. This movement will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President will deliver remarks to reaffirm his commitment to supporting the people of Mississippi as they recover and rebuild from the devastating storms, and the First Lady will attend. These remarks will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Later, the President and the First Lady will depart Rolling Fork, Mississippi en route to Jackson, Mississippi. The departure from Yazoo County Airport Landing Zone, Yazoo City, Mississippi and arrival to Jackson Air National Guard Base, Jackson, Mississippi will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will depart Jackson, Mississippi en route to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The departure from Jackson Air National Guard Base, Jackson, Mississippi and arrival to Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Upon arrival, the President and the First Lady will depart Philadelphia, Pennsylvania en route to Wilmington Delaware where they will remain for the duration of the weekend. The departure from Philadelphia International Airport, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and arrival to Delaware Air National Guard Base, New Castle, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Friday –  At 10:00 AM, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will chair a meeting of the Boards of Trustees of the Social Security and Medicare trust funds. The meeting is closed press.

At 2:00 PM, Secretary Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager. The leaders will discuss the United States’ implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act and the European Union’s Green Deal Industrial Plan, developments in the international financial system, and the Clean Energy Incentives Dialogue.
