White House and Other Schedules for Friday, Nov 3

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Friday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE
FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2023 


In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

After, the President will participate in a family photo with summit leaders. This event at the South Portico will be open press.

Later, the President will host leaders from the Western Hemisphere at the White House during the inaugural Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity Leaders’ Summit. During the Summit, the President will reaffirm the United States’ commitment to work together with our partners to deepen economic integration in our hemisphere, drive more inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and tackle the underlying economic drivers of irregular migration in our hemisphere. This event in the East Room will be covered by the in-house pool.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will travel to Lewiston, Maine following the tragic shooting last week in which 18 people were murdered, and many others were injured. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The arrival at and departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, Maine will be open press.

Then, the President and the First Lady will depart Brunswick, Maine en route to Lewiston, Maine. The departure from Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, Maine will be open press. The arrival at Lewiston Landing Zone, Lewiston, Maine will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President and First Lady will pay respects to the victims of this horrific attack and grieve with families and community members, as well as meet with first responders, nurses, and others on the front lines of the response. These events will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will depart Lewiston, Maine en route Brunswick, Maine. The departure from Lewiston Landing Zone, Lewiston, Maine and the arrival at Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, Maine will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

After, the President will depart Brunswick, Maine enroute to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  The departure from Brunswick Executive Airport, Brunswick, Maine will be covered by the out-of-town pool.  The arrival at and departure from Dover Air Force Base, Dover Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Rehoboth Beach Delaware will be covered by the supplemental pool.

TREASURY DEPT –  

Friday – At 8:30 AM, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will host Leaders from Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity (APEP) countries at the Treasury Department. During her remarks, Secretary Yellen will highlight the Administration’s focus on deepening economic ties with countries in the Western Hemisphere, including through APEP and the Inter-American Development Bank, which is a key partner for the United States’ engagement with the region. There will be a press spray at the top for the Secretary’s opening remarks. 

At 1:50 PM, Secretary Yellen will deliver opening remarks at the public session of the Financial Stability Oversight Council meeting. The remarks are open press and will be livestreamed here.

STATE DEPT

Thursday –

Secretary Blinken, accompanied by the new US Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew, travel to Israeland Jordan. Blinken will go on to Tokyo and Seoul.  Press briefings, when held on weekdays, occur around 1:15p ET livestreamed at state.gov.
