WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Monday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. data and Federal Reserve events: 
  


DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2022 
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

After, the President will depart Wilmington, Delaware en route the White House. The departure from Delaware Air National Guard Base, New Castle, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

In the afternoon, the President will welcome President Guillermo Lasso of Ecuador to the White House. The visit will provide an opportunity for the Presidents to consult on a range of regional and global issues, including Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war in Ukraine. During the meeting, the leaders also plan to underscore the importance of strengthening democratic institutions and discuss regional economic integration initiatives, including the Americas Partnership for Economic Prosperity, economic and security cooperation, and Ecuador’s leadership on regional migration. This meeting in the Oval Office will have a restricted in-house pool spray at the top.

In the evening, the President and the First Lady will host a Hanukkah Holiday Reception in the Grand Foyer. This event will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed media. [RSVP here by 9:00 AM]

Monday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will meet with advisors and staff. Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will meet with key European Commission and member state counterparts in Brussels, Belgium to discuss our ongoing coordination in response to Russia’s illegal war, including on sanctions and the price cap on Russian oil. Afterwards, Deputy Secretary Adeyemo will travel back to the United States.. STATE DEPT

Gruenberg, of Maryland, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Friday is the next deadline for an omnibus FY’23 spending bill, a relatively short-term budget extension or a government shutdown.
