DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR MONDAY, MAY 13, 2024

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 
After, the President will depart Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and return to the White House. The departure from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Fort Lesley J. McNair will be covered by the in-town travel pool.
 
In the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will deliver remarks at a reception celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, at the White House. The Second Gentleman will attend. This event in the Rose Garden will be open to pre-credentialed media and pooled for TV.

  TREASURY DEPT

Monday – At about 11:40a ET Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks in Stafford County, Virginia and the benefits of the American Rescue Plan. The prepared remarks will be published on treasury.gov.

At 10:45 AM, Secretary Yellen will tour a high-speed internet installation site and meet with local officials and community members to discuss the impacts of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, including the benefits of bringing affordable, high-speed internet to all Americans. This event is open to pre-credentialed media.

At 11:40 AM, Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks highlighting efforts to grow the economy while driving investment to rural areas – a central tenet of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda.
