 DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR THURSDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2023 

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 
In the afternoon, the President will depart the White House en route to Bethesda, Maryland. The departure from the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool.
 
Then, the President will deliver remarks on his Administration’s progress to lower prescription drug costs. These remarks at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland will be covered by the in-town travel pool.
 
After, the President will return to the White House. The departure from Bethesda, Maryland and arrival at West Executive Avenue will be covered by the in-town travel pool.

Thursday – 3PM Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks at the open portion of the FSOC meeting. The remarks are open press and will be livestreamed.

7:45p ET– Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks at the U.S.- China Business Council 50th Anniversary Dinner. The remarks will highlight the steps taken to successfully manage the U.S-China relationship and preview broad priorities for the year ahead. The remarks will be livestreamed on the Treasury website. We hope to get you remarks earlier in the day under embargo.

Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Japan, Korea and APEC Christopher Wilson will host officials from the Government of Japan for the fourth round of meetings of the U.S.-Japan Partnership on Trade. This meeting will be held in Washington, DC and will be closed press.

At 10:00 AM, Senior Advisor Beth Baltzan will be on a panel hosted by the Washington International Trade Association, titled “250 Years Since the Boston Tea Party Made Trade Political Issue.” The event is open press and more details are available here.
