US TREASURY Thursday – At 10 AM CST, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will visit the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s (BEP) Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas for the official unveiling of the first U.S. banknotes printed with her signature. This will mark the first time U.S. banknotes will feature the signature of a female U.S. Treasury Secretary. Secretary Yellen will be joined by Treasurer of the United States Chief Lynn Malerba where they will receive a tour of the BEP facility and currency printing process. Following the tour at 11:15 AM CST, Secretary Yellen will deliver remarks to employees. The visit is open to credentialed press and will be livestreamed here.
