In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Leesburg, Virginia. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The arrival at Leesburg Executive Airport, Leesburg, Virginia will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

Then, the President will deliver remarks at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference. These remarks at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia will be covered by the out-of-town pool.

In the evening, the President will return to the White House. The departure from Leesburg Executive Airport, Leesburg, Virginia will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

The President will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for a bilateral meeting at the White House.

TREASURY DEPT –

Thursday –  At 9:00 AM, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will testify at the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. She will testify on the 2023 Financial Stability Oversight Council annual report. The annual report reviews financial market developments, describes potential emerging threats to U.S. financial stability, identifies vulnerabilities in the financial system, and makes recommendations to mitigate those threats and vulnerabilities. Overall, the Council finds that the U.S. financial system remains resilient, and the U.S. banking system remains sound. A livestream can be found here.

At 3:00 PM, Secretary Yellen will hold a bilateral meeting with Executive Vice President and Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni of the European Union. Secretary Yellen plans to discuss our joint efforts to provide economic support to Ukraine to underpin its brave resistance on the battlefield, including by congratulating the EU on advancing €50 billion of assistance. Secretary Yellen will reiterate that Congress must advance American national security interests by sustaining budget support for Ukraine. This meeting is closed press.

STATE DEPT

Thursday –   Secty Blinken finishes his tour of the Middle East for the fifth time, visiting Saudi Arabia,, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and the West Bank.
