WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Thursday’’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR 
THURSDAY, JANUARY 25, 2024

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 

Then, the President will depart the White House en route to Superior, Wisconsin. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press.  The departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at Duluth International Airport, Duluth, Minnesota will be open press.
 

After, the President will deliver remarks on Investing in America and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. These remarks at Earth Rider Brewery, Superior, Wisconsin will be open press.

In the evening, the President will return to the White House.  The departure from Duluth International Airport, Duluth, Minnesota and the arrival at Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.

TREASURY DEPT –

Thursday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will be in Chicago, Illinois, for events to highlight the state of the U.S. economy and the good-paying jobs President Biden’s Investing in America agenda is creating across the country for middle class Americans.

At 9:30 AM CST / 10:30 AM EST, Secretary Yellen will hold a working breakfast meeting with Governor of Illinois J.B. Pritzker at a local Chicago restaurant. There will be a pool spray at the start of this meeting. Media interested in joining the spray can email kitty@kurthlampe.com.

At 12:35 PM CST / 1:35 PM EST, Secretary Yellen will deliver a major address at the Chicago Economic Club on the state of the U.S. economy and the historic investments the Biden Administration has made in the middle class. In her remarks, Secretary Yellen will underscore that the middle class is at the core of the President’s Investing in America agenda and her modern-supply side economic strategy, which focuses on building the economy with direct investments that make middle-class lives better by expanding our economy’s productive capacity and by focusing on communities, workers, and sectors with untapped potential. Following her remarks, Secretary Yellen will participate in a brief fireside conversation with Sean Connolly, Chair of the Chicago Economic Club and President and CEO of Conagra Brands, Inc. At 4:30 PM CST / 5:30 PM EST, Secretary Yellen will participate in a fireside conversation with U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and members of the Civic Committee and the Commercial Club of Chicago. This event is closed press.

At approximately 8:00 PM CST / 9:00 PM EST, Secretary Yellen will tape an appearance on NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” This episode will air on NPR stations and be released as a podcast on Saturday. This event is open to pooled press.

STATE DEPT

Thursday –  Secretary Blinken is on travel to Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Angola  from January 21-26. At 8:30a local time Secty Blinken visits the Luanda Science Center.Laterr in the day he holds a joint press conference with Angolan Foreign Minister Tete Antonio in Luanda, to be livestreamed at state.gov. Headquarter press briefings, when held on weekdays, occur around 1:15p ET.
