White House and Other Schedules for Tuesday, Dec 12

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Tuesday’s schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:

 DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2023 

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 
Then, the President will participate in a campaign reception in Washington, DC. The departure from the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool. The reception in Washington, DC will be covered by the restricted in-town travel pool and the in-town travel pool will accompany. The arrival on the South Grounds will be covered by the in-town travel pool.

In the afternoon, the President will host President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine for a bilateral meeting to underscore the United States’ unshakeable commitment to supporting the people of Ukraine as they defend themselves against Russia’s brutal invasion. As Russia ramps up its missile and drone strikes against Ukraine, the leaders will discuss Ukraine’s urgent needs and the vital importance of the United States’ continued support at this critical moment. This bilateral meeting in the Oval Office will have an in-house pool spray at the top.
 
After, the President will participate in a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine. This event in the Indian Treaty Room will be open to pre-credentialed media.

TREASURY DEPT –

Tuesday –  At 9:30 AM, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will attend the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit in Washington, DC for a live conversation with Nick Timiraos. More information on the event is available here.

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Wally Adeyemo will travel to Atlanta, Georgia to discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration’s policies have powered a historic economic recovery and highlight how the Investing in America agenda is spreading opportunity more broadly across the country. Deputy Secretary Adeyemo will focus on the Treasury Department’s work to expand access to capital for financially underserved rural and urban communities, how the American Rescue Plan has allowed the city to make critical investments in increasing housing supply and lowering the cost of rent, and how the Inflation Reduction Act is achieving its goal of driving economic growth in underserved communities in Georgia.
