TREASURY DEPT –

Wednesday – Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen will travel to Boston, Massachusetts to tour Roxbury Community College and deliver remarks on how President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act – and the Biden Administration’s Investing in America agenda – are lowering energy costs and creating economic opportunity. Secretary Yellen will tour the college’s Center for Smart Building Technology and host a roundtable discussion with local business leaders to discuss the growth of the clean energy industry and how federal and state incentives are working together to lower key costs and create economic opportunity. Secretary Yellen will be joined at Roxbury Community College by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. Remarks will begin at 11:30 AM. STATE DEPT

Wednesday –   Secty Blinken, after visiting Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, is on to the West Bank and Egypt through Thursday..  Press briefings, when held on weekdays, occur around 1:15p ET livestreamed at state.gov.

USTR –

Ambassador Katherine Tai, co-chair of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI), will be in Atlanta, Georgia to participate in a WHIAANHPI Economic Summit. During the summit, she will participate in a fireside chat to share how Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities can connect with federal leaders and resources. The summit and fireside chat are open press. Press interested in attending should register their interest to Andrew.Peng@hhs.gov.

Ambassador Tai will also meet with members of the Georgia Legislative AAPI Caucus at the State Capitol to discuss how the Biden-Harris Administration can work with local elected officials to advance equity, justice, and opportunity for the state’s AA and NHPI community. Next Commission scheduled meeting 2p ET Thursday, closed to the press and not livestreamed, as Fidelity, Invesco/Galaxy, Grayscale, Blackrock, Wisdom Tree, VanEck, Valkyrie, Bitwise, ArKK, Hashdex, 21 Shares, GlobalX hold on to hopes for approval of the first BTC ETFs this week. Analysts estimated whoever engineered the false report of approval Tuesday could have potentially reaped billions as BTC initially soared.
