White House and Other Schedules for Wednesday, March 29

WASHINGTON (MaceNews) – The following are Wednesday’s  schedules for the White House, Treasury, USTR, the State Department and Capitol Hill as well as U.S. economic data and Federal Reserve events:
 
DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE 
FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29, 2023 
 

In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.

Later, the President will host the Summit for Democracy Virtual Plenary on Democracy Delivering on Global Challenges. This event in South Court Auditorium will have an in-house pool spray at the top.

In the afternoon, the President will host President Alberto Fernández of Argentina for a bilateral meeting at the White House. The leaders will celebrate 200 years of bilateral relations between the United States and Argentina and reiterate the strength of the U.S.-Argentina partnership. This bilateral meeting in the Oval Office will have an in-house pool spray at the top.

In the evening, the President will host a reception celebrating Greek Independence Day. This reception in the East Room will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed media.

The President will meet with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology to discuss their ongoing work to advance American science, technology, and innovation.
 
The President will travel to Wilmington, Delaware where he will remain for the weekend.

Ambassador Tai will deliver remarks at the Summit for Democracy’s Indo-Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption Meeting in Seoul to highlight how the Biden Administration is working with our allies and partners to promote democracy, strengthen our institutions, and address corruption.
 
Ambassador Tai will meet separately with the Republic of Korea’s Minister for Trade Ahn Dukgeun and Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jung Sik.  These meetings are closed press.

Ambassador Tai will deliver pre-recorded remarks at the National Council on Textiles Organization’s Annual Meeting.
