COMPREHENSIVE TRIP GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, 2023 – SUNDAY, MAY 21, 2023  
In the morning, the President will receive the President’s Daily Brief. This meeting will be closed press.
 
After, the President will honor 2021-2022 Medal of Valor recipients from across the country. This ceremony in the East Room will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed media.

Then, the President will depart Washington, DC en route to Anchorage, Alaska for a brief refueling stop. The departure from the South Lawn will be open press. The arrival at and departure from Joint Base Andrews will be covered by the out-of-town pool. The arrival at and departure from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska will be covered by the out-of-town pool.
 
Later, the President will depart Anchorage, Alaska en route to Hiroshima, Japan.
